Real Up Offer for Mbappe, While Man City Want Ronaldo

INTERNATIONAL: You know it’s summer time in Europe when football players change clubs quicker than you change your underwear, and yes, that time of year is here. As expected, Real Madrid have increased their offer for Paris St. Germain striker, Kylian Mbappe. Their initial offer of almost $188-million was rejected earlier this week. They’ve now come back with an offer of $199-million. There’s been no comment yet from PSG, but Mbappe has said he is keen to move to Spain, and PSG’s bank account needs a boost after it bought Lionel Messi.

But the biggest news of the transfer season could come from across the English Channel. Juventus have offered Cristiano Ronaldo to Manchester City. The 36-year-old Portuguese star has been linked to a move away from Juventus for weeks, with his contract there ending next year. Ronaldo's agent Jorge Mendes has been looking for a club who would be willing to pay Juventus a $30-million transfer fee, plus Ronaldo’s substantial salary.

City could be keen to bag Ronaldo after failing to lure Spurs striker and England captain Harry Kane from Tottenham Hotspur. If Ronaldo did move to Manchester, it’d be the biggest headline of the season.
